I stumbled across this site by putting in Google a search for financial prayer. This site came up and so I am going to write about my situation. I got divorced in 1995 and my income for that year was about 9,000. Since then I have been trying to do things to improve my income which last year was 33,000. I went to college and got a degree in Management and Leadership and a second major in Human Services. Of course I am drawn to the human services area and have been working for a home that works with adults with mental retardation. The only reason that I made 33,000 is because of a second job that I work in a bakery. I put in 60-80/week working and am still struggling to keep up with my bills. I will be totally honest here to tell you what I pay for and maybe you can share with me what I am doing wrong and give me some really good advice. I have talk to several financial consultants and they share that I have to figure out a way for my student loan payments. I have one loan that is 300/month and a second loan that is 873/month along with the student loans is my rent of 235 for a bedroom, car payment of 280/month, insurance 60/month, internet service 50/month, telephone 56/month. As you can see I am not living the high life just simply trying to make a living without getting myself extremely stressed. I am frustrated about all of this because I will be 52 this year. It's not that I am that old but sometimes because of the type of jobs that I have I get extremely physically and mentally worn out. I have 3 grandchildrent that I want to enjoy but can not see all that much. My one student loan is in my mom and dad's name and I don't want to screw them up but I am really close to doing that by continuing forbearances. I think I am almost out of time on those.
